- This monograph draws on two years of substantial, multilingual archival research on the German Revolution in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich including previously unstudied primary sources. It produces a new theoretical understanding of a number of key participants in the revolution and offers a fresh perspective on the historical events. It draws on a range of evidence in German, French and Russian and syntheses historical accounts from these different traditions.
