- This work introduced a new method to make degradable vinyl copolymers with application potential in biomedicine. The work’s novelty and significance were recognised in a publication from a competitor’s group (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2019, 141, 1446) and have led to a best poster award (London polymer group meeting, 2019), an invited lecture (RSC Organic Division meeting), and industrial collaboration including sponsorship of a PhD student to develop biodegradable polymers for agriculture.
