- Double-weighted statement
- This multi-author volume is the major output of a sustained, complex, inter-disciplinary programme of research over an extended period, 2011-2018, co-directed by Roger Matthews and Wendy Matthews, funded by a major AHRC grant (£840k: AH/H034315/1) involving seven seasons of fieldwork in Iraqi Kurdistan. The volume comprises 24 chapters involving 35 authors (ca. 250,000 words), including the work of two project post-doctoral researchers, two project PhDs, and two additional PhDs, all conducted under the guidance of the project co-directors. It represents the fullest ever publication of the inter-disciplinary excavation of an Early Neolithic site in the eastern Fertile Crescent.
