- The book (pp. 282) is the first detailed study of how Antonio Tabucchi’s writings have travelled through translation and reconceptualises the intersections between his different artistic forms. It maps out the patterns and trends of translations of his thirty-two texts into thirty-nine languages offering the first in-depth analysis of the 15 English and 28 French (re)translations, including texts and paratexts. It provides a new methodology and offers a fresh comparative perspective with Swiss literature. It includes an analysis of a new body of interviews conducted by the author with sixteen of Tabucchi’s translators from across Europe, Asia, and America.
