- This output reports methodology reducing the limit of detection carbonate by four orders of magnitude. It resulted from a collaborative EU FP7 IRSES "IBS Network" between Keele and Clark University, USA. It initiated four further network publications on ion selective sensors with reduced need for handling and initiated an international collaboration with the University of Otago, NZ, leading to three further publications. It was presented as an Invited Talk at Pittcon 2016, by Radu. A component of this work was included in the successfully defended PhD Thesis of L. Mendecki and led, in part, to securing funding from NSF-NERC (NE/E012331/1).
