- The paper proposes standard guidelines and a toolkit for audiovisual interaction design, particularly in the field of performance arts. Potential applications extend to other areas, such as multimodal interaction and multisensory user experience - this is demonstrated by the diverse fields of the publications citing the paper so far. Methodologically, it employs hackathons in a novel way, following a user-centered design approach. The resulting toolkit has been released as open source. The full paper has been presented in 2017 at the CHI conference, the premier international conference of Human-Computer Interaction. In that year the acceptance rate was 25%.
