- Additional information
- This paper presents novel work on autonomously identifying safe landing zones which can be utilised upon occurrence of a safety critical event. The innovation could provide essential support to the increased deployment of UAVs in daily life where emergency may lead to risk of life or valuable assets. The research was funded by the EPSRC SUAAVE project, and leads to one further project funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh and NSFC (Flood Detection and Monitoring using Hyperspectral Remote Sensing from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
