- This paper addresses an important issue that is now being encountered in Data Science and Computer Science degree programmes, namely the teaching of ethics in these programmes that is relevant and goes beyond the tick box culture that permeates this area of research. This is an output of the CODATA-RDA schools. The schools and hence the findings of this paper formed a case study of the OECD report "Building digital workforce capacity and skills for data-intensive science". This report is an advisory report for member states for skills development and hence has shaped UKRI policy in this area.
