- This paper proposes an SDN-enabled UAV-assisted vehicular computation offloading optimization framework that reduced the average system cost of vehicle computing tasks by 55.01%. The paper formed the basis for a continues international collaboration with Dr Liang Zhao from Shenyang Aerospace University (China), which has resulted in 1 joint follow-up papers (Zhao et al. 2021 (https://doi.org/10.1109/TII.2021.3059640)) from the co-supervision of 1 PhD student. Besides, this paper provided underpinning science that led to a new Science Foundation of Liaoning Province (2020-MS-237) Grant of £5.6K.
