- Double-weighted statement
- The book is the outcome of several research projects in the field of information science and digital infrastructures (during the last REF cycle), the author has led, and should therefore meet the criteria of extended scale and scope. The book is one of the first globally to define a by now the common idea of digital ecosystems and a global division of work around information processes. Blanke designed and directed the project work and wrote the book. The book consists of five substantive chapters with the last three developing new research on open ecosystems, big data and digital economy.
