- "Meta-programming comes in various forms, and since the 1950s nobody has produced a natural foundation for all its different forms. This work is the first to do so, and gives a grand unification of meta-programming. In addition, it has been unclear so far, in what sense the operation of extending a programming language with facilities for meta-programming is generic or language-specific. This work is the first to specify this. Google has shown interest in this work [1].
