- Double-weighted statement
- This book was a product of the EU Rights Project, funded by an ESRC Future Leaders fellowship. It deploys a novel methodology of “advice-led ethnography”, and involved four years of ethnographic research into the experience of EU nationals in the UK in navigating EU and UK welfare law, in addition to an in-depth analysis of the legal framework of EU citizenship. The book won the Hart-SLSA Book Prize and was shortlisted for the BBC Thinking Allowed Award for Ethnography. It merits double-weighting because of the sustained research effort it entailed, and the complexity of the primary research that underpins it.
