- Tungsten is expected to be used as the divertor armour in the experimental fusion reactor ITER, this article in a Q1 journal, provides a complete study of the various helium concentrations expected, showing the type of defects to be expected over the reactor lifetime.
This work has been used by other groups at the University of Oxford, University of Science and Technology Beijing and Oak Ridge National Laboratory to inform the design of their studies and also to validate their own findings (10.1016/j.matchar.2018.08.026). which used it to confirm the type of dislocation loops expected.
