- Double-weighted statement
- This work examines in detail a remarkably significant but underexplored historical event: the visit of the Shah of Persia and his wife to Berlin in 1967 which acted as a catalyst for the radicalization of the West German student movement. On the basis of exhaustive archival research, which unearthed important source materials scrutinized here for the first time, this study provides a comprehensive reconstruction of all dimensions of this visit and the protests it engendered, constructing a complex account of their significance for political developments both within Germany and the wider world.
