- This paper introduces a new class of Lax pairs, studies their properties, and derives many new integrable systems of difference equations along with generalisations of some well-known models. It is a well-cited publication which is evident from the field citation ratio (7.78). Moreover, its impact is apparent from the fact it became the starting point for other approaches and studies (Shi Ying, 2020; Wei Fu, 2020). This work was also the basis for a continuing collaboration with the University of Leeds with an outcome of three follow-up papers.
