- This multi-component output, comprises a 197K-word monograph and associated digital archive. It involved the acquisition of a large body of material, some of which was new primary data from an extensive geophysical research programme, while more was based on literary research in multiple libraries and archives. The synthesis required the collation of this information and its detailed spatial integration so that critical interpretative insight into the archaeology of the town could be obtained. The synthesis has also used this integrated data set to re-interpret the site from a variety of different perspectives in the final series of chapters.
