- Overcoming the latency associated with the computationally demanding passive radar signal processing to enable real-time operation, and addressing the problem of low volumes of RF training data required for machine learning has moved WiFi based sensing technology towards real-world commercial applications. Significance is evidenced through:
Co-PI: £1.3M EPSRC grant (EP/R0186771/1).
PI: EPSRC Discovery2Use Award (£49.7k, EP/K503745/1) and matched funding from the Metropolitan Police Service to investigate applications for operational policing.
An Invited IEEE Communications Magazine special issue paper on activity recognition.
National Instruments Engineering Impact Award Winner 2017, and overall "Application of the Year".
Featured article in E&T Magazine (Sep17).
