- Double-weighted statement
- This 352-page monograph draws on 10 years of research reflecting an ambitious scale and depth of analysis. This book draws on an unseen wealth of archival sources on appeasement and UK foreign policy, from ten locations in the UK and four in North America, including a range of previously unseen archival sources. The extent of the historical period covered, the difficulty of locating source materials, the depth of archival research engaged in and the development of the complex analysis requiring mastery of extended literatures on appeasement and UK foreign policy demanded numerous years of intense research effort.
