- Additional information
- Relaying is included in 3GPP mobile radio standards to improve performance of terminals lacking a direct base station link. This paper gives the first results for multi-antenna relays under correlated fading, including important practical cases where exact channel information is not available at the relays. It provides a simple algorithm whose results are indistinguishable from optimal allocations based on very complex exhaustive search. The work was used in the FP7 DIWINE project and Dstl CSIIS Task 2-1-52, which has led to a Dstl studentship on "Resilient Wireless Mesh Networks" (£132k).
