- Holy Legionary Youth represents the culmination of an extended programme of research funded by a variety of organisations, including the Council for Library and Information Resources, the Association for Women in Slavic Studies and the Society for Romanian Studies. The book is 271 pages in length, and was sole-authored by Roland Clark. It draws on the collection and analysis of a large body of archival research, undertaken over a period of nine years, in libraries and archives in Romania and the United States. Primary sources consulted include interwar newspapers, unpublished manuscripts , and transcripts of eyewitness interviews.
