- Jonathan Burrows: Towards a Minor Dance (Palgrave 2019) is the result of a 15-year investigation of the work of this prominent British choreographer. It draws on sustained engagement with his creative work, on extensive archival research, and on a substantial corpus of first-hand interviews conducted between 2004 and 2018. Engaging with a comprehensive range of source material – including items from the artists’ personal archives which are not publicly accessible – the monograph examines the contexts, approaches and reception of Burrows’ works, from his early 1980s pieces to his most recent collaborative projects.
