- Smart metering data is crucial and privacy-sensitive in energy domain. There is a direct and urgent need for adequate security solutions that can exchange energy data securely between home and energy company while maintaining privacy and security of the consumer data. This is one of the first significantly less complex solutions that can enhance security of smart metering against many threats. Security of proposed mechanism is both specified and formally verified. Moreover, testbed settings and implementation results demonstrated the potential of this mechanism in resource-constrained smart metering.
