- The significance of this paper's solution to a major question concerning the integration of graphene into functional devices was recognised with invitations to present plenary lectures: (1) at the International Conference on Fracture, Rhodes, 2017;, the top conference in fracture mechanics; (2) at the International Conference on Theoretical, Applied and Experimental Mechanics; Cyprus, 2018.; and (3) at the Chinese-Franco Symposium; Beijing, 2017;. This led to an invitation to guest-edit a special issue of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters (Volume 8, 2018).
