- This work has gained significant recognition in the field of visualization since it was first presented at the prestigious IEEE VIS conference. The technique has been built upon by several top international visualization research groups, including Los Alamos National Laboratory (https://www.osti.gov/biblio/1363736), University of Oxford (https://tinyurl.com/y3wvxo3b), Nottingham University and Swansea University (https://tinyurl.com/y3sgdkk4). These groups have generated quite a few follow-up papers on this topic. By using the technique from the work, a visualization system (VBAS) is playing a critical role for daily seismological data analysis in the International Seismological Centre (https://tinyurl.com/y5hqgxmz).
