- This is the first piece of cross-discipline work that proposed and actually demonstrated a deployable solution of applying Information Centric Networking as an enabling technique for supporting mission-critical power distribution applications. The field trial was carried out at Alliander (the largest power distribution network operator in the Netherlands) based on the Vodafone mobile network infrastructure - see: http://cdax.ilabt.imec.be/sites/default/C-DAX-D5.2.pdf. This represents the world’s first field-trial of using public cellular network to stream real-time state estimation (RTSE) data based on phasor measurement units (PMUs). The proposed scheme has attracted 12 user board members in both Europe and North America, see http://cdax.ilabt.imec.be/sites/default/C-DAX-D6.4.pdf.
