- We provide for the first time an analytic solution for the resistance of a randomly oriented 2D stick network. This has applications in the understanding of a wide range of materials such as networks of Carbon NanoTubes The formulation was extended to anisotropic 3D sheets allowing the prediction of performance of non-woven carbon fibre materials for shielding purposes. The data was incorporated into data sheets of the sponsor Technical Fibre Products Ltd (Contact: Senior Engineer, TFP global). The anisotropic measurement technique is being incorporated into the IEEE P2715 guide to planar shielding measurement (Contact: IEEE Program manager).
