- Grayson’s research contribution to this work comes in two ways: author and co-editor. As author, he wrote a chapter himself, carrying out all the research and writing alone. As co-editor, he jointly (with the other co-editor) organised the contribution of papers to a symposium on ‘Remembering 1916’ at Queen’s University Belfast in 2015. Following the symposium, he jointly selected papers for publication and carried out editorial work with individual authors on those. Then, he jointly wrote the introduction, based both on the chapters included and wider research in the field.
