- Author contribution statement
- This was an Umbrella Review, which always requires a large research team (17 authors in this instance) given the amount of data evidence to be synthesised (a huge number of studies from across a total of 45 meta-analyses in this case). Thompson contributed to most aspects of the manuscript, with particularly substantial contributions to the following: interpretation of analysis, drafting of manuscript and critical revision of the manuscript following review. These contributions are confirmed on the published article. Thompson was also one of major contributors to the development of the study protocol, as acknowledged on PROSPERO.
