- The attributed individual initiated this project and lead its theoretical framing and development through a conference panel at the European Society for Oceanists conference in 2012. The other editor left the project in 2014, after which the attributed individual was the sole editor responsible for shaping the volume’s intellectual position and recruiting prestigious authors for the Preface and Afterword. The attributed individual is the lead and main author of the co-authored Introduction, with the other editor contributing to framing and co-drafting the initial chapter summaries.
