- Establishing the optimum pretreatment conditions is critical for the economic viability of biogas production. This work provides data for biomass pretreatment scale-up and optimization of efficient anaerobic digestion plants. This work has led to international collaboration between the authors and the University of Sharjah, Sharjah, UAE and the Minia University, Egypt. This collaboration has, in turn, led to a successful paper publication “Application of artificial intelligence to maximize methane production from waste paper”, https://doi.org/10.1002/er.5446. This work provided the background for a new PhD project.
