- This book is the outcome of a three-year study which initially involved a team of researchers including 2 information specialists and two Research Associates along with the PI and CI. The team spent one year conducting a rapid evidence appraisal using systematic review techniques for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse. Noting the lack of theoretical frameworks, May-Chahal then extended this research over a two year period to encompass an extensive body of theoretical literature that brought in different perspectives crossing a range of disciplines including criminology, psychology, computing, history and sociology.
