- I initiated the project, which required coordination between two large survey groups: H-ATLAS and GAMA. I supervised the analysis by the lead-author, a PhD student. The paper combines GAMA and H-ATLAS photometry, both measured using methods that I developed. Dust masses were estimated using the MAGPHYS code, which I modified and tested for HATLAS photometry. The mass function was estimated using a modified Vmax technique and also using bivariate estimators, and fitted using MCMC techniques. I cross-checked all of the calculations with my own codes, and helped in the interpretation of the results in comparison to models and previous measurements.
