- Additional information
- In addition to her own essay (pp. 189-206), Corinne Saunders was a co-editor of this collection of thirteen essays. She played a leading role in the conception and design of the volume, which spans a wide range of romances and related texts within their cultural and literary contexts across several languages, as well as the reception of romance in later periods. The co-editors shared the responsibilities of structuring the volume into interconnected thematic sections, negotiating revisions of individual essays with each contributor, and copyediting. Saunders oversaw solely the collation and correction of the proofs, which required extensive work in the course of three sets of proofs. She also oversaw the preparation of a full bibliography for the volume.
