- The Llangorse volume is the first major monograph to be published on a Welsh early medieval (CE 400-1100) site since the early 1960s. It is a multi-authored volume of over 491 pages, with many illustrations and tables of data, that draws on the knowledge and research of nearly thirty top specialists. It represents nearly thirty years work, jointly directed by Alan Lane and Mark Redknap, and pulls together early historical sources and precisely dated archaeology to provide the comprehensive account relevant by international scholars. It will remain an important research resource for the foreseeable future.
