- This 115,000 word monograph is the main output of doctoral and postdoctoral research funded by the AHRC, the Irish Research Council and Cardiff University and was completed over nine years. It examines poetry, short fiction, travel writing, essays, autobiographies, letters, and scholarship by over 30 British women writers and draws on materials collected from 9 UK archives and research libraries, as well as online periodical databases. It studies texts in their original publishing contexts, including accompanying illustrations, and its arguments contribute to the fields of Romanticism, medievalism, Arthurian studies, gender studies and women’s writing.
