- New edition updates developments in Strasbourg and UK case law since March 2011 (5 years of material covering some 6k of Strasbourg judgments and the most important domestic decisions). Most significant developments include (a) reconsideration of 'margin of appreciation' by the ECtHR; (b) revision of UKSC case law on interpretation of the HRA and deference to Strasbourg; (c) key developments in the protection of physical and psychological integrity in Strasbourg jurisprudence (large areas of ch 4 have been rewritten) and protection for private life (ch 6); (d) the section on the Scotland Act has been rewritten to reflect 'compatibility issues'.
