- This French-language book analyses the influence of the private law harmonising instruments adopted by UNIDROIT on the emergence of European contract law. Two dimensions are explored: the influence of these instruments on the substance of the law in a context of European law reform; and, their influence of the evolution of European harmonisation strategies and techniques. More fundamentally, this topic offers an invaluable opportunity to investigate further the relations and interactions between three normative spheres – namely the national, the regional (EU) and the international legal spheres – in their conceptual, normative and institutional dimensions, in a private law context.
