- Originality: Research from the neuGRID4Users FP7 project that enabled clinicians to use a catalogue (Data Atlas) of clinical variables to annotate large samples of neuro-images.
Rigour: This paper describes techniques used to collect many thousands of brain images. It provides intuitive and linked access to large-scale diverse clinical datasets and offers an integrated environment to query clinical data that aids user analysis.
Significance: By providing a Pipeline Service to index clinical datasets stored on the Grid/Cloud and a Querying mechanism to execute dynamic and user-driven data queries this paper demonstrates how the Data Atlas facilitates studies of Alzheimer’s Disease.
