- This double volume (1141 pages) of introduction, Arabic text and English translation is published in the flagship Corpus Medicorum Graecorum series. It offers the first critical edition of a key work, produced by the translator-physician Ḥunayn ibn Isḥāq (d. ca. 870), based on all extant Arabic textual witnesses, with comprehensive notes and indices. Vagelpohl (75%) had primary responsibility for the Arabic text and introduction and joint responsibility for the translation and editorial work. Swain (25%), PI for the Wellcome Trust grant that funded the project, had joint responsibility for the translation and input into the introduction and Arabic text.
