- The production of this book required sustained research for more than three years. This 90,000 word monograph, the second in a trilogy, explores memory in everyday life. It is based on a large-scale ethnographic research project funded by The Leverhulme Trust with participants from a wide range of communities and backgrounds. It comprised over 100 qualitative interviews (including the new method of self-interviewing developed during the project and photographic/music elicitation techniques), over one hundred written responses generated through a new Mass Observation call, and three months of archival research in the Kodak Archives of the National Media Museum
