- Aluminium foil is one of the biggest aluminium waste sources which is difficult to recycle. Converting the Al foil into useful products is an environmental issue. A novel green preparation route to prepare nano-mesoporous γ-Al2O3 from foil is demonstrated. It is a promising catalyst in acid catalyzed reactions, and it is tested in methanol dehydration which showed higher catalytic activity than commercial γ-Al2O3 due to its superior surface structure and acidity. This work has been recognised worldwide in different magazine. This article is in the top 100 paper highly accessed in Chemistry in 2017 in the published journal.
