- Dzelzainis was jointly responsible with Edward Holberton for designing, commissioning, and editing this collection of essays (pp. xxi + 822; c. 390,000 words). This process involved establishing the four-part structure of the volume ('Marvell and His Times', 'Readings', 'Marvell and His Contemporaries' and 'Marvell's Afterlife') and inviting appropriate contributors to engage with specific topics (in all there are 43 contributors and 43 essays). Dzelzainis wrote the chapters on Marvell and science (#11; 11,500 words), issues of dating in Marvell (#18; 9,900 words), and, with Coster, a new account of Marvell's Mr. Smirke (#30; 10,250 words).
