- Double-weighted statement
- Double-weighting is requested for this extended scholarly exercise to which Gray made an indispensable contribution. She had overall direction of the enterprise and contributed the introduction and two substantial chapters, a total of nearly 30,000 words. Building on a sequence of sessions at the Leeds International Medieval Congress, the volume analyses the vitae of Christian saints in medieval Europe from a variety of perspectives. It is notable for bringing in perspectives from non-Christian traditions (Hindu, Muslim and Sikh) and from beyond Europe, reflecting Gray’s background as an archivist at the India Office collection in the British Library.
