- The ability to monitor bacterial growth is a critical component of many industrial processes but also has significant ramifications for sensing applications. This multicentre interdisciplinary work arose initially from consultancy with Inside Biometrics International Ltd and thereafter to a CAST Studentship with Kimal PLC and the underpinning methodology has subsequently been exploited as the foundation for a number of publications relating to the EPSRC Safewater programme. The significance of the work was recognised through the paper being selected as the front cover feature for Analytica Chimica Acta.
