- The first experimental data that quantifies the variation in tissue mechanics across different regions of immature (porcine) heart. These data enable the validation of complex computational models that are aiming to accurately mimic heart contraction. These data and our testing capability were critical in initiating partnership with the EPSRC-funded SoftMECH Centre at the University of Glasgow, a collaboration that has since secured £770k collaborative EPSRC funding (EP/S014195/1, EP/S014284/1, EP/S014306/1).
