- Wesana made a substantial contribution to the initiation of this study as an active member of Global Burden of Disease Collaborator Network, participating in the consultative meeting to discuss and confirm preliminary results prior to the first draft. He notably identified that residual confounding was an important aspect to consider in the analysis (thereby controlled by having a never-smokers/non-chronic disease comparison group) and so strengthened the study. Wesana critically reviewed the first draft by identifying inconsistencies between the narrative and tables/figures of results, thereby making changes and suggestions for corrections to improve interpretation of outputs reflected in the final draft.
