- Output of EPSRC project 'High resolution numerical and experimental studies of turbulence-induced sediment erosion and near-bed transport' and collaboration with Polish Academy of Sciences. Reports a novel concept of bedload particle motion, numerical model, and extended simulations that verify the proposed concept. The findings have been used for advanced modelling of sediment transport by over ten research groups world-wide, including Vanderbilt University – Furbish’s group, EPFL - Ancey’s group, Tsinghua Universiyt – Fu’s group, and University of British Columbia – Hassan’s group, among others.
