- This paper lays new theoretical foundations for virtualization paradigms in future mobile networks (5G and beyond). It is unique in its use of queuing theory to make it possible to integrate network and service virtualization, using the IP Multimedia Subsystem (broadly used in advanced mobile networks) as a practical proof-of-concept framework.
