- This book is the first in the field to systematically explore the interplay between masculinity and dating. Written over a period of four years, the chapters use empirically grounded data to explore the ways in which men are negotiating a range of very different dating contexts (speed dating/Tinder/holiday romance/online sex seeking/dogging). Not only was it difficult to access the various research contexts, but it was also challenging to facilitate men to openly discuss their intimate experiences. Also, the disparate research contexts enabled a synthesis of a broader set of research findings.
