- Modern Architecture for Religious Communities is a co-edited (Jordan and Lepine) collection of articles by international scholars of modern and contemporary faith architecture. The book was commissioned by Routledge, following a session at the 2013 annual conference of the Society of Architectural Historians in Buffalo, USA, chaired by the editors and includes chapters based on papers given at the conference. Jordan contributed the chapter, 'The building sisters of Presteigne: gender, innovation and tradition in modern-era Roman Catholic architecture' (pp125-139). This chapter comprised previously unpublished original research, based on archives and correspondence. In addition, Jordan co-wrote the introduction to the volume, 'Building the kingdom: architecture, worship and the sacred' (pp 1-12) reviewing contemporary scholarship in the field of modern faith architecture. With her co-editor, she selected the articles; co-designed the structure and layout and edited the contributions. The volume makes an important and original contribution to the history and theory of modern faith architecture, focusing on an original and hitherto under-researched aspect of the field.
